This was a great documentary. Very eye opening into some of the reasons why Intelligent Design is not allowed to be discussed or researched, especially in the scientific comunity. It interviews people who have lost jobs, because of just mentioning Intelligent Design. It also goes into how the fight between evolution and Intelligent Design could very well be a war of relgion, between those who believe in a higher power and athiests. It also looks a little into Hiltler, who took Darwins ideals and theories and put them into action through the holocaust.
We just rented this, it was at our local blockbuster. I totally recommend watching it. If you have any great documentaries that you think I would like, let me know about them. Gus and I love, love, love documentaries.

You may find Expelled Exposed interesting. You'll notice that the film doesn't really ever get into exactly what Intelligent Design entails. Probably because there is no coherent theory and nothing to test. And to blame Darwin for Hitler is just nuts. Randy Olson did a documentary called "A Flock of Dodos" that deals with the same subject from a different perspective. "Expelled" is a pretty good piece of propaganda and if you haven't followed the arguments for a few years, might even seem to be compelling.
Joseph has been talking about that movie, but we can't get it around here. I have to order it.
Thanks scripto for your recommendation. I will try to find it to watch. I doubt it will sway my beliefs, since I am a creationist, but I like to look at all sides of an argument.
I do not think the video meant to say that Darwin is to blame for Hitler, just that he (Hitler) took natural selection and evolutional theories to the extreme in trying to make the perfect race.
The concepts of inferior and superior have little to do with natural selection. Fitness varies according to the environment. Since the environment continually changes there are no perfect archetypes. And the evolutionary idea of common ancestry of all humans was anathema to Hitler.
